Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, February 11, 2008 <br />Page 4 <br />Chair Delmore, and HRC Commissioner Tam McGehee who was also present, <br />hosted a reception for students, parents and teachers following their presentation <br />to the City Council. <br />Mayor Klausing thanked students, families and teachers for encouraging the stu- <br />dents in their open-minded attitudes and their ability to express those thoughts. <br />6. Approve Minutes <br />a. Approve Minutes of 1/28/08 Regular Meeting <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, approval of the minutes of the January 28, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting as presented. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Pust; Ihlan; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />c. Proclamation of Black History Month <br />Mayor Klausing read the proclarnation recognizing February 2008 as Black His- <br />tory Month. <br />Pust moved, Ihlan seconded, proclaimed February of 2008 as Black History <br />Month in the City of Roseville, encouraging the community to renew their com- <br />mitment to ensuring racial equality, understanding and justice. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Pust; Ihlan; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />7. Approve Consent Agenda <br />There were no additional changes to the Consent Agenda than those previously noted. <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Bill Malinen briefly reviewed those <br />items being considered under the Consent Agenda. <br />a. Approve Check Register <br />Councilmember Ihlan questioned the Krass Monroe billing on page 4 of the <br />Check Register, and rationale for charging off to the Tax Increment Financing <br />District. <br />Finance Director Chris Miller advised that their consultation was necessary re- <br />lated to the recent request of Dorso for Eminent Domain; preparation of the reso- <br />lution for City Council consideration; and related work. Mr. Miller noted that the <br />City was anticipating reimbursement from Dorso for the expenditures; but while <br />they were TIF-eligible expenses, they were charged to the District at this time un- <br />til reimbursement was received. <br />
