Mr. Stark remarked on the issues from the Lot Split Study as they relate to the RHRA: mainly,
housing affordability and lot size. Member Kelsey remarked on the complexity of this issue in
terms of designing and evaluating a consistent lot split standard. Member Kelsey commended
Community Development Department staff for guiding the Lot Split Citizen’s Advisory Group
(CAG) through the process. Member Pust reminded the audience of the three remaining
opportunities for public comment on this issue: Lot Split CAG meetings on April 19 and April 26
and the May 2 Planning Commission meeting. Member Kelsey urged the audience to attend
these meetings to speak in support of alternatives.
Member Maschka made note of innovative green building technology and opined that the RHRA
should encourage more of these types of initiatives on a local level. Member Kelsey agreed and
related how green principles have been discussed during the Lot Split Study process.
Chair Majerus introduced the idea of holding a study session for the RHRA which would take
place in the coming months.
Chair Majerus read a proclamation in recognition of Ms. Bennett’s distinguished work with the
Roseville Housing and Redevelopment Authority since its creation in 2002.
10.Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:28 p.m.
6
