Chapter 1008 is hereby amended as follows: 1008.10: PROCEDURE FOR PROCESSING A PUD: A. Application Conference: Upon filing of an application for a PUD, the applicant of the proposed PUD shall arrange for and attend a conference with the city planner. The primary purpose of the conference shall be to provide the applicant with an opportunity to gather information and obtain guidance as to the general suitability of applicant's proposal for the area for which it is proposed and its conformity to the provisions of this chapter before incurring substantial expense in the preparation of plans, surveys and other data. Sketch Plan: The sketch plan provides an opportunity for an applicant to submit an informal plan to the city showing the applicant's basic intent and general nature of the development. The sketch plan is optional and is intended to provide feedback from the planning commission before the applicant incurs substantial cost in the preparation of formal plans. The sketch plan shall be considered a partial, incomplete application prior to formal submittal of the complete application and scheduling of hearings. C. Open House: Prior to submittin an application for General Concept Plan or PUD Amendment approval an applicant shall hold an open house meeting with residents and property owners in the vicinity of the project location 1. Purpose: To provide a convenient forum for engaging community members in the develo ment rocess to describe the ro osal in detail and to answer uestions and solicit feedback. 2. Timing: The open house shall be held not more than thirty (30) da~prior to the submission of an application for General Concept Plan or PUD Amendment approval and shall be held on a weekday evening be inning between 6.00 p m and 7.00 p m and ending by 10:00 p.m. 3.
