Call Roll <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the regular meeting of the Roseville City Council at ap- <br />proximately 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. <br />Voting and Seating Order: Ihlan; Roe; Pust and Klausing. <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson was also present. <br />5. Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />a. Tribute to Tom Kough <br />Mayor Klausing, noting that this was the first City Council meeting held since <br />Councilmember Tom Kough's passing away on March 30, 2008, revised the <br />agenda to pay tribute and asked for a moment of silence in honor of Councilmem- <br />ber Kough. Mayor Klausing recognized Councilmember Kough's wife, Carol <br />Kough, in the audience, and provided several mementos from the Roseville City <br />Council and City staff in memory of Tom. <br />Mayor Klausing provided a brief history of Councilmember Kough's service on <br />the City Council, and observed that it was difficult to imagine meeting without <br />Tom, and recognized the many contributions to the City of Roseville, and indi- <br />vidual Councilmembers and citizens. <br />Ms. Kough thanked the City Council, staff and citizens for their support and assis- <br />tance prior to and during the Kough family's time of loss. <br />Mayor Klausing invited public comment from the audience regarding Council- <br />member Kough. <br />Public Comment <br />Al Sands <br />Mr. Sands reviewed his introduction to Mr. Kough in 1995 while Tom was cam- <br />paigning for Mayor of Roseville; and his induction to Tom's campaign at that <br />time; their ongoing friendship; and the origin of the Banjo Bandits at that time. <br />Mr. Sands observed that his life had been made richer for having known Tom. <br />Mayor Klausing introduced a video segment prepared by C-TV/North Suburban <br />Cable Commission, paying tribute and providing anecdotal memories of individ- <br />ual Councilmembers and friends on their remembrances of Councilmember <br />Kough. Mayor Klausing thanked C-TV for making the video tribute possible. <br />
