EXTRACT OF MINtTI'ES OF ~ETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JANUARY 29, 1968 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on January 29, 1968, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Moll, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Shields and Linebarger and the following members were absent: None Member Grauel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2012 WHEREAS, Laws 1967, Chapter 896 establishes a Metropolitan Council with jurisdiction in the following counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington, and WHEREAS, the power of the Metropolitan Council in the aforesaid seven counties is as follows: a) To suspend the operation of any long term co~rehensive plan of any independent commission, Doard or agency which plan is prepared for the operation of development within the metropolitan area, if such plan is determined by the Council to have an area wide effect. This gurisdiction over independent commissions and boards or agencies of the metropolitan areas does not include any plan of the sanitary sewer district operating within the metropolitan area which pertains to the location of construction of sewer plants. b) Receive all long term co~rehensive plans of each city, village, borougn and town WhlCh lies within the metropolitan area (seven counties mentioned above) and notify the other cities, villages, boroughs, towns, counties or special districts which may be affected by the plans and hold public hearings thereon at the request of any party. The Council if further directed to attempt to mediate and resolve the difference of opinion which exists among the participants in the hearings with respect to the plans submitted.
