Extract of Minutes of ~reeting of the Village Council of Roseville, Minnesota, Held January 29, 1968 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of Roseville, Minnesota, was held at the Village Hall in said Village, on January 29, 1968 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Moll, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Linebarger and Shields and the following were absent: None Member Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2013 RESOLUTION DETERMINING T~lli NECESSITY OF BORROWING MONEY FOR THE ACQUISITION CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF A ~ruNICIPAL ICE ARENA TO BE OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE VILLAGE AS A PUBLIC CONVENIENCE FROM WHICH A REVENUE MAY BE DERIVED BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared to be necessary and expedient for the Village to borrow money by issuing its general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $490,000, for the pur- pose of providing funds for the acquisition, construction and equipping of a municipal ice arena to be owned and operated by the Village as a public convenience from which a revenue may be derived. 2. The question of issuing general obligation bonds of the Village in the amount and for the purpose stated above shall be submitted to the voters of the Village at a special election which is hereby called for February 20, 1968 between the hours of 7:00 o'clock a.m. and 8:00 o'clock p.m. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said election to be given by publication of a notice once each week for two weeks in the official newspaper, and by posting copies of said notice at the polling places and at three other public and conspicuous places within each election precinct.
