Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non- <br />agenda items. <br />a. Carol Kough, Widow of former Councilmember Kough <br />Ms. Kough, in having listened to interviews for applicants to fill the vacancy of <br />Councilmember Kough, expressed concern that, with 7 out of the 12 expressing <br />some interest in running for the vacant seat in the upcoming election, that the <br />Council not eliminate those from appointment for the interim. Ms. Kough opined <br />that many were good candidates and advised that she would like to talk to the City <br />Council privately on some of the candidates whom she opined would not repre- <br />sent Tom's position on many items. Ms. Kough advocated that the person ap- <br />pointed represent what Tom stood for and what he tried to accomplish and would <br />share his goals through the end of his term. <br />b. Al Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands expressed his hope that the City Council continues to pursue the early <br />seating of Councilmember Kough's successor before year end. <br />Mr. Sands commented and provided written comments regarding Roseville's ac- <br />counting system and his perception of the City Council's monitoring of financial <br />matters. <br />c. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn, addressed a question brought up to some candidates at inter- <br />views as to whether there was an advantage to someone being appointed, and then <br />running for election this fall. <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn commented about posting packets on the web site and micro- <br />phones not activated at the beginning of this meeting. <br />4. Council Communications, Reports & Announcements & HRA Report <br />Councilmember Roe, on behalf of Councilmembers Ihlan, Pust and himself, reminded the <br />public of the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Update Steering Committee meetings, at <br />6:00 p.m. on June 12~' and June 26~', and encouraged the public to attend the meetings, <br />held in the Public Works Building Conference Room. <br />5.
