City of <br />1~.~~ <br />~~ <br />Minnesota, USA <br />Special and Regular City Council Meeting <br />Minutes <br />City Hall Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Monday, May 19, 2008 <br />Special Meeting <br />4:15 p.m. <br />Present: Pust; Roe; Ihlan; and Klausing <br />The following HRA applicants were interviewed: Jeff Arsenault, Tim Johnson, Carol Pletcher, <br />Arjun Sethi, Richard Stone and Michael Tracy <br />The following City Council applicant was interviewed: Dean Maschka <br />The Special Meeting adjourned at 5:35 p.m. <br />Regular Meeting <br />6:00 p.m. <br />1. Call Roll <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the regular meeting of the Roseville City Council at ap- <br />proximately 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. <br />Voting and Seating Order: Pust; Roe; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />City Attorney Jay Squires was also present. <br />2. Approve Agenda <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested removal of Consent Items #7.d and #7.e for discussion, <br />respectively entitled, "Enact an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1009, Sign Regulations, <br />Pertaining to Signs that are Affixed to City-owned Light Poles (PROJ 0013);" and "Ap- <br />prove Midland Hills Country Club's Request for aRight-of--Way Vacation for an unde- <br />veloped portion of Walnut Street between Ryan Avenue, State Highway 280, and the golf <br />course (PF08-009)." <br />By consensus, the agenda was approved as amended. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non- <br />agenda items. <br />a. Al Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands opined in "reality politics," elected officials had the right to use their <br />power. <br />
