Councilmember Willmus <br />Councilmember Willmus advised that he had provided an a-mail ear- <br />lier today to staff and Councilmembers regarding his comments on the <br />Mayor's proposed HRA Appointment, with copies available with pub- <br />lic documents at the back of the Council Chambers. <br />5. Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />a. Recognize and Formally Accept Allina Medical Transportation's <br />Donation of a 1995 Ford Ambulance <br />Police Chief Carol Sletner and Lieutenant Lorne Rosand reviewed the <br />offer by Allina Medical Transportation to donate arecently-retired <br />1995 Ford box ambulance to the City's Police Department, proposed <br />to be used to supplement the department's current police fleet as an <br />emergency command vehicle. <br />Councilmember Roe noted his additional questions via a-mail to Chief • <br />Sletner, and thanked her for her responses, provided for public infor- <br />mation as a bench handout. <br />Klausing moved, Pust seconded, approval of a 1995 Ford Box Ambu- <br />lance, authorizing the painting of the vehicle by Snelling Collision <br />Center at a cost not to exceed $1,900.00; to the City's Police Depart- <br />ment for use as an emergency command vehicle. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus; Pust; Roe and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Several representatives of Allina were present, and Chief Sletner pub- <br />licly acknowledged them, and thanked them for their generosity by <br />presenting a Certificate of Appreciation. Chief Sletner noted that, <br />prior to their donation, Allina had provided the vehicle with a new <br />battery and new tires, and had gone out of their way to make sure the <br />vehicle was serviceable. <br />
