Councilmember Pust noted that she had been in the minority on this issue when the City Council originally took action, and that her posi- tion hadn't changed, and she would not support the proposed action. Councilmember Willmus noted that he was not supportive of the Ad- ministrative Judge's ruling and would not support the proposed action. Mayor Klausing observed that, in consideration of those positions, this item be TABLED for the City Attorney to review City Code and State Statute for further consideration. g. Consider Additional Wells for the Campus-Wide Geothermal Project • Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke briefly reviewed the staff report dated June 16, 2008 regarding additional wells for the campus-wide geothermal project; and staff recommendation that, based on the estimated cost of $69,097.91 and higher than anticipated, there would be no financial or operational advantage to proceed at this time. Discussion included location of the well field on the north side based on proximity to the arena and maintenance facility and condition of the north lot, rather than the south lot's more favorable condition and longer life expectancy. Councilmembers concurred with staff's recommendation not to pro- ceed with additional wells at this time. h. Consider Ratification of Appointment to the Housing and Rede- velopment Authority Mayor Klausing recommended Michael Tracy to fill the vacancy on the HRA, as indicated on his a-mail dated June 16, 2008, provided as • a bench handout.
