Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, June 16, 2008 <br />Page 23 <br />• City Mana er Malinen noted the findin s of the Admini <br />g g strative Law <br />Judge related to the City's intent to impose a penalty of $2,000 and a <br />60-day suspension for Davannis' Restaurant for liquor sale non- <br />compliance. <br />Councilmember Pust noted that she had been in the minority on this <br />issue when the City Council originally took action, and that her posi- <br />tion hadn't changed, and she would not support the proposed action. <br />Councilmember Willmus noted that he was not supportive of the Ad- <br />ministrative Judge's ruling and would not support the proposed action. <br />Mayor Klausing observed that, in consideration of those positions, <br />this item be TABLED for the City Attorney to review City Code and <br />State Statute for further consideration. <br />g. Consider Additional Wells for the Campus-Wide Geothermal <br />Project <br />• Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke briefly reviewed the <br />staff report dated June 16, 2008 regarding additional wells for the <br />campus-wide geothermal project; and staff recommendation that, <br />based on the estimated cost of $69,097.91 and higher than anticipated, <br />there would be no financial or operational advantage to proceed at this <br />time. <br />Discussion included location of the well field on the north side based <br />on proximity to the arena and maintenance facility and condition of <br />the north lot, rather than the south lot's more favorable condition and <br />longer life expectancy. <br />Councilmembers concurred with staff's recommendation not to pro- <br />ceed with additional wells at this time. <br />h. Consider Ratification of Appointment to the Housing and Rede- <br />velopment Authority <br />Mayor Klausing recommended Michael Tracy to fill the vacancy on <br />the HRA, as indicated on his a-mail dated June 16, 2008, provided as <br />• a bench handout. <br />
