Station Location, Apparatus, and Staffing Analysis Roseville, MN Fire Station #2 was built in 1964 and is located on Fairview Avenue (west side station), adjacent to the Rosedale Mall. This is particularly important because traffic congestion in this highly commercialized area presents significant problems as paid-on-call firefighters attempt to get to the station in a timely manner for emergency calls. This also creates a hazardous situation and delays, as fire engines attempt to serpentine through this maze of heavy traffic. Significant commercial re-development is also being proposed for the west side of the city. Figure 3 Fire Station #3 was built in 1974 and is located on Dale Street (east side station). This is the newest station and may be a candidate for reconstruction, renovation, or additional expansion and used as a satellite station.
