There have been several significant fire and hazardous materials responses <br />to these facilities. <br />The west side of the city is home to three shopping malls and scores of other retail <br />' businesses. The largest of the three malls, Rosedale Mall, is a 1.1 million square-foot shopping <br />complex, hosting more than 10 million visitors annually. <br />' The RFD provides fire/rescue protection and first-responder medical care for the <br />jurisdiction. Fire apparatus are housed in three stations. <br /> <br /> <br />r~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~J <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Fire Station #1, located on Lexington Avenue (central station), is a very old building <br />(circa 1930) that was once used as a car dealership. It was converted to a fire station and part of <br />the building was used as City Hall. City Hall has since moved to a new location but the fire <br />station still shares space with other city departments.
