1
Station Location, Apparatus, and Staffing Analysis
Roseville, MN
RFD is the turnout time interval while the weakest compliance at the 90~` percentile is the travel
response time segment. Although this data is based on information provided in the CAD data, it
should also be noted that these time intervals do not exclude non-emergency calls. Thus, if only
emergency calls were factored into the analysis, the response times would more than likely be
lower. This would result in a more accurate measure of the response time segments for
emergency calls.
Station Location Analysis
This section examines RFD station coverage based on two scenarios identified by
Roseville: the current three-station system and the proposed two-station system that consists of
one existing station on Dale Street and a new station in the vicinity of County Road C W and
Snelling Avenue N. Theoretical coverage at the four, six an eight minute response timeframe
have been analyzed for each of the existing stations as well as the proposed new station. Maps
were created to illustrate the approximate response time reach for the existing station locations as
well as the proposed changes. Travel response time coverage was calculated based on an average
speed of 41 mph as discussed in the data limitation and assumptions section.
Current 3 Stations
The following map is an overview of the city of Roseville containing the three existing
fire stations.
System Planning Corporation 12 May 2008
TriData Division
