WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Minnesota state that the Village has the power and authority to take and acquire said property by condemnation under the power of eminent domain; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE.. MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: The Village Council hereby deems it necessary and con- venient that the property described below be acquired by the Village of Roseville for the purpose of maintaining and establishing public parks and establishing land for flooding purposes in con- junction with Village storm sewers, said property being situated in the Village of Roseville, County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, to-wit: The North 400 feet of the West 500 feet of the East l075 feet of the Southeast l/4, Section 4, Township 29, Range 23. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said land be acquired in fee simple title. That the Village Attorney be and he hereby is instructed to institute the necessary proceedings in condemnation under the power of eminent domain in the name and in behalf of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, to acquire the property hereinabove described under the statutes of the State of Minnesota, and the said Village Attorney is further instructed and directed to take such steps as may be necessary to carry said proceedings to a conclusion. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Grauel and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor of the resolution: Curley, Grauel, Linebarrer /inti Moll and the following voted against the same: ~Jonc WHEREUPON" said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
