<br />WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Minnesota state <br />that the Village has the power and authority to take and acquire <br />said property by condemnation under the power of eminent domain; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE.. MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The Village Council hereby deems it necessary and con- <br />venient that the property described below be acquired by the <br />Village of Roseville for the purpose of maintaining and establishing <br />public parks and establishing land for flooding purposes in con- <br />junction with Village storm sewers, said property being situated <br />in the Village of Roseville, County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, <br />to-wit: <br /> <br />The North 400 feet of the West 500 feet of the <br />East l075 feet of the Southeast l/4, Section <br />4, Township 29, Range 23. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said land be acquired in <br />fee simple title. <br /> <br />That the Village Attorney be and he hereby is instructed to <br />institute the necessary proceedings in condemnation under the power <br />of eminent domain in the name and in behalf of the Village of <br />Roseville, Minnesota, to acquire the property hereinabove described <br />under the statutes of the State of Minnesota, and the said Village <br />Attorney is further instructed and directed to take such steps as <br />may be necessary to carry said proceedings to a conclusion. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Member Grauel <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />of the resolution: <br /> <br />Curley, Grauel, Linebarrer /inti Moll <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: ~Jonc <br /> <br />WHEREUPON" said resolution was declared duly passed <br />and adopted. <br />
