Ethics Commission Roe moved, Willmus seconded, appointment of Margo Fjelstad to the one va- cancy for a term that expires March 31, 2009. Councilmember Ihlan advised, for the record, that she would support the ap- pointment, but noted that Pat Torrey and Jason Etten were also strong applicants for the position. Environment and Transportation Commission Klausing moved, Ihlan seconded, appointment of Joan Felice to the one vacancy for a term that expires March 31, 2009. Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; and Klausing. Nays: Roe and Willmus. Roll Call Motion carried. Mayor Klausing noted the number of strong candidates making application and thanked them for their interest. b. Consider Request to Perform a City Abatement for Unresolved Violations of City Code at 2828 Griggs Street City of Roseville Building Inspector Rick Talbot reviewed the request for City abatement of current and remaining violations from those detailed on the report dated August 11, 2008. Mr. Talbot anticipated that abatement would be completed within the next thirty (30) days; and advised that it was typical of this particular homeowner to repeat- edly make an extremely last ditch effort to achieve compliance. Mr. Talbot re- quested the City Council's permission to take action if the property owner did not bring the property into compliance accordingly. Mr. Talbot thanked Councilmembers for their assistance with their April of 2008 action related to Code Enforcement and Abatements; and opined that it had al-
