Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, March 17, 2008 <br />Page 12 <br />Mayor Klausing noted that, even though his residence was close in proximity to <br />HANC, it was not easy to access; and suggested that potential connections off <br />County Road C be considered if possible outside private property and topography <br />issues. <br />Mayor Klausing, on behalf of the City Council, citizens and staff, thanked the <br />Committee and staff for their work. <br />Roe moved, Ihlan seconded, accepting the Harriet Alexander Nature Center Plan- <br />ning Committee report as presented. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust: Ihlan; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Roe moved, Klausing seconded, thanking and recognizing Richard "Jake" Jacob- <br />son and the Harriet Alexander Nature Center Planning Committee for their efforts <br />over the past year and for their final report. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust: Ihlan; Roe; and Klausing. <br />• Nays: None. <br />City Manager Malinen expressed his appreciation, not only to the committee, but <br />to staff for the additional meeting burden throughout the year as this study was <br />completed. Mayor Klausing concurred, and thanked staff as well. <br />11. Public Hearings <br />a. Public Hearing regarding Issuance of Tax-Exempt Revenue Bonds on Behalf <br />of Concordia Academy <br />Finance Director Chris Miller briefly reviewed the request of Concordia Academy <br />for the City to provide conduit financing for issuance of tax-exempt revenue <br />bonds for the Roseville and Bloomington facilities. <br />Mr. Miller introduced Mary Ippel of Briggs & Morgan, the City's legal bond <br />counsel, for this project. <br />Councilmember Pust questioned if there were positive financial impacts to the <br />City through fees received for the issue. <br />Mr. Miller advised that the City would realize one percent (1%) of the initial issue <br />costs in administration fees, in addition to recouping upfront any incidental and <br />ongoing financial reporting fees from Concordia Academy. <br />• <br />
