~~ 4 ~
Mayor Klausing and City Council Members:
Thank you for your time to allow me to speak today . I am here representing
WWV1 smaller townhomes. (SMALLER UNIT PHOTOS) These are the people who
Could be hurt financially if the City council votes to approve funding for the
WWV1 project as proposed. If funded according to the newly revised
declarations the smaller homeowners will be made to subsidize the costs for the
larger units.
(LARGER UNIT PHOTOS)
Not only will they be hurt by paying a much larger amount per square foot, but
this will afFect the property values, increasing the value of the larger homes and
decreasing the value of the smaller units.
In fairness, each home should pay only for its own costs, as was the case under
the original declarations when I purchased my home. We are asking just to pay
our own share nothing more or nothing less. The smaller units requested a
compromise by asking for two bids, one for the small units and one for the large
units. The bids to include the costs associated with re-siding, re-roofing, fascia
and soffits, gutters, and downspouts. As a reminder, there are 47 units, 41 are
large and 6 are small.
