<br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, April 02, 2008 <br />1. Call to Order <br />Chair Bakeman called to order the Planning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the <br />role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />Chair Bakeman administered the Oath of Office to newly appointed Planning Commissioner, Mr. <br />Andre Best, 1211 Oakcrest Avenue, for a term of three (3) years; at which time she welcomed <br />Commissioner Best to the City of Roseville Planning Commission and introduced Commissioner <br />Best to fellow Commissioners and the public. <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Commissioners Andre Best; Joe Wozniak; Barbara Martinson; Daniel <br />Boerigter; Jim Doherty; Thomas Gottfried; and Chair Mary Bakeman <br />Staff present: Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon; Associate Planner Bryan <br />Lloyd; Roseville Police Lt. Lorne Rosand <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />MOTION <br />Member Martinson moved, seconded by Member Boerigter to approve meeting minutes of <br />March 5, 2008 as presented. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Abstentions: 3 (Doherty, Gottfried, and Best) <br />Motion carried. <br />4. Communications and Recognitions: <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda): <br />No one appeared to speak on any non-agenda items. <br />b. From the Staff or Commission: <br />None. <br />5. Public Hearings <br />a. PROJECT FILE 0004 <br />Discussion of the current progress and status of the ongoing update of Roseville’s <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />Chair Bakeman opened the Public Hearing for Project File 0004. <br />Chair Bakeman updated Commissioners and the public on the Comprehensive Plan <br />Update Community Open House held the evening of Thursday, March 27, 2008 at <br />Roseville City Hall (2660 Civic Center Drive). <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon presented a revised Comprehensive Plan <br />timeline; and reviewed the work to-date by the Steering Committee. Mr. Trudgeon <br />advised that public and Planning Commission review and comment would be sought for <br />other proposed section revisions to the Comprehensive Plan Update, anticipating that the <br />Planning Commission would hold the formal Public Hearing on the Plan Update at their <br />October 2008 meeting for recommendation to the City Council for action prior to submittal <br />to the Metropolitan Council at year-end. Mr. Trudgeon advised commissioners that <br />various sections would be brought forward for initial review and comment of the <br />Commission throughout their summer monthly meetings. <br />Chair Bakeman reported on the Open House held on March 27, 2008 for initial public <br />review and input; and commended Economic Development Associate Jamie Radel for <br /> <br />
