The City has annually requested support from community <br />groups and businesses for several special events. A typical letter of request is attached. The <br />activities that the authorization is requested to seek donations for include: <br />Volunteer Recognition Banquet — February-March <br />Earth Day —April <br />Spring Celebration — March-April <br />Summer Concert Series-- May-August <br />Community Art Program —March -August <br />Rosefest — June-July <br />Discover Your Parks — June — August <br />July 4th Party in the Park — July <br />Battle of the Bands — July <br />Mosquito Festival — July-August <br />Movies in the Park — July-August <br />Halloween Event -- October <br />Holiday Event — December <br />New Year's Eve Event- December <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />The following is the City of Roseville's policy regarding the solicitation of donations. To avoid <br />conflict of interest or appearance of impropriety, the solicitation of donations by City staff is not <br />permitted except by authorization of the City Council.
