Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, December 15, 2008 <br />Page 31 <br />Mayor Klausing called for a vote on the original motion, as amended, to pass <br />Resolution No. 10675 entitled, "Resolution Adopting the Final 2009 Annual <br />Budget for the City of Roseville," as amended, reducing the proposed amount of <br />$37,870,975 by $380,000, for a new budget amount of $37,490,975. <br />Roll Call [Amended Motion] <br />Ayes: Willmus; Pust; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br />Motion carried. <br />Roe moved, Klausing seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10676 entitled, <br />"Resolution Directing the County Auditor to Adjust the Approved Tax Levy for <br />2009 Bonded Debt" at $88,744.46. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus; Pust; Roe and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br />Motion carried. <br />c. Adopt Fina12009 HRA Tax Levy <br />Mr. Miller advised that the $308,000 proposed HRA levy in the packet reflects <br />the preliminary amount of $358,000 adopted in September by the HRA, and sub- <br />Sequent HRA action reducing the proposed final levy by $50,000. Staff further <br />recommended reduction of the HRA levy by another $50,000, to $258,000. <br />HRA Chair Bill Majerus and Vice Chair Dean Maschka were present, represent- <br />ing the HRA. Mr. Majerus advised that it was the HRA's intent with their pro- <br />posed budget to better serve the community's single and multi-family housing <br />stock, and he expressed the HRA's commitment and dedication to this goal. <br />Vice Chair Dean Maschka advised that the requested final levy was justified and <br />based on reality. <br />Ihlan moved to not authorize an HRA levy for 2009; implicating that it operate on <br />it's cash carry amount for 2009. <br />Mayor Klausing declared the motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Ihlan moved that the City Council authorize an HRA Levy limited to $100,000 to <br />cover the Har Mar Apartments loan and cash carry forward of approximately <br />$357,000. <br />Mayor Klausing declared the motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Klausing moved, Pust seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10677 entitled, "A <br />Resolution Submitting the Housing and Redevelopment Authority, in and for the <br />
