<br />EXTRACT OF MINUfES OF I"lEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, l~LD APRIL 15, 1968 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br />the Village Council of Roseville, ~tinnesota, was duly called and held <br />at the Village Hall in said Village on April 15, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: ~~yor Moll, Councilmen Curley, <br />Grauel, Linebarger and Shields <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Shields introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2090 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is important that adequate recreational areas be <br />acquired to serve Ramsey County: <br /> <br />AND WI~REAS, Ramsey County is fast urbanizing and the availability <br />of land for recreational facilities is fast shrinking; <br /> <br />AND MiEREAS, certain land areas in the Village of Roseville and <br />the Village of Shoreview Witil great natural attractiveness are still <br />available for recreational development; <br /> <br />AND WllliIlliAS, an additional 18 hole full lengtil golf course facility <br />is needed to meet the demands for this type of recreation in the western <br />section of Ramsey County; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Village Council of the Village <br />of Roseville, ~linnesota that: <br /> <br />1. The County Board of Commissioners be requested to acquire the <br />following locations in Roseville as County park and recreation <br />facilities: <br /> <br />a. That area shown on the attached map marked Exhibit "A" which <br />is contiguous to existing Ramsey County Park near Lake <br />Josephine and is known as "Little Lake Josephine Park". <br /> <br />b. That area shown on Exhibit "A" which lies partially within the <br />Village of Roseville and partially within the Village of <br />Shoreview, generally between Victoria Street and West OWasso <br />Boulevard, which includes a 10 acre park owned by the Village <br />of Roseville. <br />
