EXTRACT OF MINUfES OF I"lEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, l~LD APRIL 15, 1968 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of Roseville, ~tinnesota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on April 15, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: ~~yor Moll, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Linebarger and Shields and the following members were absent: None Member Shields introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 2090 WHEREAS, it is important that adequate recreational areas be acquired to serve Ramsey County: AND WI~REAS, Ramsey County is fast urbanizing and the availability of land for recreational facilities is fast shrinking; AND MiEREAS, certain land areas in the Village of Roseville and the Village of Shoreview Witil great natural attractiveness are still available for recreational development; AND WllliIlliAS, an additional 18 hole full lengtil golf course facility is needed to meet the demands for this type of recreation in the western section of Ramsey County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, ~linnesota that: 1. The County Board of Commissioners be requested to acquire the following locations in Roseville as County park and recreation facilities: a. That area shown on the attached map marked Exhibit "A" which is contiguous to existing Ramsey County Park near Lake Josephine and is known as "Little Lake Josephine Park". b. That area shown on Exhibit "A" which lies partially within the Village of Roseville and partially within the Village of Shoreview, generally between Victoria Street and West OWasso Boulevard, which includes a 10 acre park owned by the Village of Roseville.
