Council f�arther finds that designation of said housing improvement area is <br />needed to maintain and preserve the housing units within that area. <br />Section 3. Hnusing Impravement Area defined. The Westwo�d Village I <br />Housing Improvement Area is hereby defned as that area of the City legally described as <br />follows: <br />Lots lthraugh 3, Block 1, Lots 3 through S, Block 2, Lots 1 through 7 Block 3, Lots 1 <br />tl�raugh 4, Block 4, Lots i tllrough 6, Block 5, Lots 1#hrough 5, Black 6, Lots 1 through <br />S, Block 7, Lats 1 through 6, Block $ al] in Westwood Village Townhouses Plat 1 <br />Section 4. Housing Improvements dEfined. <br />a. Far the purposes of this Ordinance; the terfn "housing improvements" sha]f <br />mean the replacement af roofs, siding, g�tters and downspouts, and necessary <br />and incidental relafed improvements and repairs io the housing units an� <br />garages within the Westwood Village I Housing Improvement Area. <br />b. The above mentioned const�ctio� shall also include all incidental work and <br />necessary repairs to fini.sh the impravernents to ind�xstry standards and comply <br />wi#h perm�t building codes and laws regardless of whether said inciden#al <br />wor�C is described in fhis ordt.nance. <br />c. Housing Improvements shall also be deemed to include any of the following <br />costs incurred by eifher the Westwood Vil�age I Housing �rnprovement Area <br />or the City: <br />i. Ail costs af architectural, engineering and construction ad�ninistration <br />s�rvices in coru7ection with the impr�vements. <br />ii. Al] administration, legal, assessing f�e and consultants costs in <br />connection wit� the Westwaod Village I Housing Improvement Area. <br />iii. Costs of issuance of bonds, if any, to finance hausing improvements <br />under the Housing Improvement Act. <br />Section 5. HoUSing Improvement Fee. �'he City may, by resa�ution adoptec� in <br />accordance with the petition, hearing, and notice procedures required under Mirtnesola <br />Stat�te Chapter 428A known as the Housing Improvement Act, impose a fee on the <br />hausing units within the Westwood Village I Hausing Improvement Area at a rate, term <br />and amount sufficient to produce revenues required to provide the Housing <br />Improvements subject to ihe terms and conditrons se1 forth in this section. <br />
