at the meeting, we had to put our address on. WHY?
Tom Cook, the new Boazd member was reprimanded at the meeting for handing out
information. They said his information was inaccurate. Of course, we never had it
explained what was inaccurate. Mr. Cook was verbally attacked as most of the small
unit owners have been. He now has been silenced and discredited. Does this sound
familiar? I sometimes wonder what country I'm living in. Nobody dare speak up.
6. THE BOARD SAYS THAT OUR ATTORNEY, MR. WADE BROOKS, WITH
THE FIRM WILLIAM NORTON
Mr. Brooks said, "As before, the meeting minutes are less than accurate. For the record,
I presented compelling evidence that a formula based upon above grade square footage
of each unit would produce the best formula as it would be easy to calculate and easy
to .apply. Moreover, it would be fair. No mention of my presentation or the resulting
discussion between myself and various association members -which encompassed over
three fourths the time of the meeting- is made in the minutes." He also said," I also
noted that the Board, in its haste to act without consulting any of the opposing council
involved, was simply asking for a fight." (See attachment E -Letter Dated December 4,
2006.
7. COSTS AND DELAYS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT
The Board has spent over $30,000. , in attorney fees because of the customized
Declarations, All because they aze so insistent on changing the Declarations to save money
for the Board and the lazge unit owners at the expense of the five small units.
Because of the change in the Declazations it has taken over three years, resulting in higher
labor costs, higher material costs, and higher interest rates, even though interest rates are
down and labor/material costs aze down. Doesn't theCity question that?(See Attachment
F1,F2 -web page from Load Bearing, Inc. And Eagle Siding) Who is getting the
bonus, deal? It's not in the bid.
If each lazge unit paid approximately $2,000 more on their assessment to be somewhat
closer to being fair, then the small units would not have to subsidize the larger, more
expensive units for about $15,000. To $20,000. How can anyone see this as anything
but greed? The lazger units are still getting a deal, especially the lazges 18 units.
8. HOW WE HAVE ALWAYS PAID FOR OUR OWN EXTERIOR WORK OTHER
THAN PAINT
I have sent information to the Board and to the Council with proof of how we have always
paid for our own, and if that were not true than the Boazd/Property Manager should
have told us when we purchased that the Declarations aze not followed, AS THEY ARE
