S.P. 6241-51 (T.H. 280) <br />Mn/DOT Agreement Number 92042 <br />Ramsey County <br />2 Engineer must approve these changes in writing before the City <br />3 performs the work to qualify for reimbursement; and <br />4 e) Mn/DOT's standard construction specifications. <br />s <br />6 2) Submit one copy of the State's Application for Utility Permit, Form 2525, <br />~ including two copies of "proposed" sketches, for all Facilities within the trunk <br />8 highway right of way to the Utilities Engineer before beginning relocation work <br /> <br />9 . <br />l0 3) Coordinate its operations with the State's contractor's (Contractor) operations <br />11 and notify the Project Engineer at least two days before beginning and after <br />12 completing each operational phase. <br />13 <br />1a 4) Stake the location and elevation of the proposed Facilities within the trunk <br />15 highway right of way. The City must not begin construction until the Project <br />16 Engineer approves the location and elevation. <br />]7 <br />18 5) Subcontract the relocation work that the City does not have adequate staff or <br />19 equipment to perform. The City must obtain the Utilities Engineer's written <br />20 approval before subcontracting and awarding a contract for other portions of the <br />21 work. Except in an emergency or for the minor completion of a phase of work <br /> <br />22 , <br />obtain the Utilities Engineer's approval for overtime work to qualify for <br />23 reimbursement. If the subcontracted utility work costs $10,000.00 or more, the <br />24 City must: <br />25 <br />26 a) Enter into a written contract with the subcontractor for that work. The <br />27 contract must include or incorporate the "Audits" clause in substantially <br />28 the same form as it appears in Article (VI) of this Agreement; provide a <br />29 detailed breakdown of the basis for compensation; and state that there <br />3o will be no "penalty" or "winding up" charges for contract termination <br /> <br />31 . <br />b) Provide copies of the contract to the State prior to its execution or before <br />32 commencing work under an already executed "retainer-type" contract. <br />33 <br />34 6) Complete all underground installations within the proposed roadways before the <br />35 Contractor begins the base work operations. The City must not substitute <br />36 backfilling material unless specifically authorized by the Project Engineer. The <br />37 City must dispose of all rejected soil material within the highway right of way as <br />38 directed by the Project Engineer.
