High biood pressure <br />is often called an invisible disease because it has no visi�le symptoms; however, high blood <br />�ressure poses a serious health risk because it forces your heart to w�rk extra hard. If you suffer <br />from high blood pressure your blood vessels could �e da�naged with each beat of your heart, and <br />it can lead to a stroke or a heart attack. <br />Roseville Firefighters conduct free blood pressure checks daily from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Fire <br />Station #3, 2335 Dale St. unless they are on a�re call. The firefighters will provide you with a <br />card to record yaur blood pressure: If your blood pressure is laigh over a few visits, please see <br />your doctor. The chemicals you appIy on your lawn <br />could seep into the gr�undwater or run ofFinto the se�ver system and go untreated into City Iakes. <br />Only b�y fertilizers with chemicals yaur lawn needs, and only buy enough to use for one season: <br />Follow these rules to help preserve the Ciry's grour�dwater: <br />• Never fertilize before a heavy rain. <br />• City Code prohibits fertilizer application before April 15 or after Nover�ber 15. <br />• City Code prahibits applying fertilizers within 10 feet of a body of water or wetland. <br />• Prevent grass clippings and leaves frorn washing into gutters and into lakes and ponds. Sweep <br />clippings back onto your lawn. Compost clippings, use as mulch, take to a free county yard <br />waste site or arrange a special pick up with your trash hauler. <br />To find out what chemicals you may need for yo�r lawn, test your soii.
