Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, July 13, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br />ing and/or exceeding expectations; with Councilmembers concurring that a step salary increase <br />was in order, pursuant to the policy governing other City employees. <br />Klausing moved, Roe seconded, authorizing a step increase (Step E) at a salary of $130,104; <br />with the salary to be posted on the website as per Minnesota Statute requirements. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Roe; Ihlan; Johnson; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Mayor Klausing, on behalf of the City Council, staff and community thanked City.Manager Ma- <br />linen for his management of the City. <br />City Manager Malinen thanked the City Council for performing the annual review, and for their <br />vote of confidence; and expressed his anticipation in working with them over the next year. <br />2. Approve Agenda <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested removal of Consent Agenda Item 7.e entitled, "Adopt a <br />Resolution Approving Vacation of a portion of Mount Ridge right-of--way and Convey <br />ance of land owned by the City for road purposes." <br />The agenda was approved by consensus as amended. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by -members of the audience on any non- <br />. agenda items. No one appeared to speak. <br />4. Council Communications, Reports, Announcements and Housing and Redevelop- <br />ment Authority (HRA) Report <br />Mayor Klausing noted a series of four upcoming community meetings, as a continuation <br />of Imagine Roseville 2025, to discuss various city issues. Mayor Klausing encouraged <br />citizens to attend, and provided the times and dates structured and varied to provide more <br />options for participation. <br />Councilmember Pust noted that the Roseville Housing HRA had held a strategic planning <br />work session last week, with staff collating information to report back to the next regular <br />HRA meeting. <br />5. Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />a. Proclaim August 4, 2009 National Night Out <br />Community Relations Coordinator with the Roseville Police Department Sarah <br />Mahmud introduced a request for City Council proclamation of August 4, 2009 <br />as National Night Out, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, a <br />neighborhood crime and drug prevention event to strengthen neighborhood spirit <br />
