Division Staff's reasons to approve changing the Comp Plan, as found on
pages 4-5.)
Planning Division Staff Recommendation:
6.O REVIEW OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
~ a2 6.1 The Roseville Comprehensive Land Use Plan (the future development guide
for property t~3 in Roseville) designates the subject parcel as LR, Low Density
Residential. During the ~ oa 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update process there was no
mention or discussion of this ~ o~ property. The Planning Division considers this parcel
to be a land use anomaly that is~t~6 better suited by a High Density residential Land
Use designation other than Low Density.
6.4 The Planning Division recommends that the Council's action be concentrated first
on the ~ 1~€ Comprehensive Land Use Map Amendment request before discussing
zoning and the ~ ~ ~ proposed planned unit development
There was, however, much discussion of the need to find
potential sites for high-density residential use.
Planning Division staff did not call our attention to this ~~land
use anomaly" posed by this property at 2025 County Road B,
nor other sites where the residential zoning was too low. Our
planning consultants did, however, with a map of potential sites
in Roseville whose residential zoning should be reexamined as
to appropriate density. This site was not included in the list of
residential areas needing consideration as to appropriate
density.
The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee assessed those
sites presented by the Consultant, and added others for the
consultant's review. Each member of the Steering Committee
was assigned the task to come back to a future meeting with
other candidates for higher density.
