l�'�, <br />Jy <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department Approval <br />Item Description: Receive Community Meeting Survey Results <br />BACKGROUND <br />Date: August 17, 2009 <br />Item No.: 12.c <br />City Manager Approval <br />The City Council and staff gather information and feedback in a variety of ways to help make <br />decisions about programs, services and long-term planning to meet community needs. Some of <br />the most common methods include general feedback, call logs, commissions and task forces, <br />community meetings, newsletters, website, mailings and Council meetings . <br />City staff decided to try a new method to solicit feedback. Using Audience Response counters, <br />participants anonymously responded to a series of questions that required a yes/no answer or <br />which rated services. Within a matter of minutes, staff collected anonymous feedback on 46 <br />questions relating to city services. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />None <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Receive Community Meeting Survey Results. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Receive Community Meeting Survey Results. <br />Prepared by: William J.
