City of <br />��� -� <br />�� � <br />�a ��n��� <br />CITY CODE VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT <br />Flow Chart — Most Cases <br />A city code violation is receivedfrom a citizen or observed by staff. <br />� <br />An inspector reviews tlle city records, and then visits the site. If a violation <br />exists, it is documented and photographed. <br />. _� <br />A first notice is mailed allowing 7 days (repeat offences), 14 days (debris, <br />vehicles) or 30-60 days (building repair) to correct the violation. <br />I A re-inspection occurs: <br />� l <br />r <br />f-- -- <br />I If the violation is corrected, the file is closed. � If the violation remains, a second notice is sent <br />allowing an additional7-30 days and warning of a <br />possible $100.00 fine or further legal action. <br />r <br />If the violation is corrected, the file is closed. <br />If the violation is corrected, the file is closed. <br />� <br />_� A re-inspection occurs: <br />If the violation remains, personal contact by the Code <br />Coordinator is initiated to attempt a resolution. <br />If the violation is not corrected: <br />If thought to be effective: an administrative ticket ($100.00) is issued. <br />If the violation is corrected the file is closed. <br />�� <br />�i rr-ia�j}[tiC[fori ��CI�r3: <br />If the violation remains, the case is brought before City <br />Council for a possible Ramsey County Court Citation. <br />
