The owner of all dogs or cats over three (3) months of age kept or maintained � within the corporate limits of the City shall apply for a dog or cat license. The license � application shall be on forms provided by the City. The applicant shall also present � proof of rabies vaccination to the City prior to issuance or renewal of a license. The I� license shall be issued for a period of time not to exceed the expiration date of a two I I (2) year rabies vaccination. A lifetime dog or cat license shall be available to those 1� owners who had their animal ta�ed with a microc�ip, or a�roved electronic device to 1� identify the pet and its owner; and �rovide documentation of the �rocedure.
