Currently, police department staff compares the <br />I� animal's tag with a spreadsheet to find the owners and return their pets. The <br />E 3 approximate cost of the scanner is $225. A future cost for sending out <br />l� notificationsto lifetime owners may cause the city to purchase a computer <br />15 program to automate the process. It ensures consistency among ordinances. <br />
