Councilmember-Initiated Items from the Council Meeting of <br />January 8,2007 — or Past Council Meetings <br />13.a Request of Councilmember Kough: Consider Creating an <br />Audit Committee <br />Councilmember Kough sought to have two Councilmembers <br />appointed as an "Audit Committee" to consider and follow through <br />with recommendations of the external auditor following their annual <br />audit. <br />����x There was some confusion as to the intent of such a committee, <br />�� whether it was a standing committee or task force; and a specific <br />28 charge to such a committee. <br />�� Mayor Klausing respectfully requested that Councilmember Ihlan <br />�� meet with Councilmember Kough, as well as City Manager MaZ�nen <br />� r and Finance Director Miller to discuss a more concrete proposal for <br />�� City Council consideration. <br />3 �� <br />:�� 13.b Consider Next Steps on Subdivision Moratorium <br />�� Councilmember Ihlan provided proposed amendments to the City's <br />�� platting and subdivision ordinances (attached) and proposed a public <br />:�� input process for the study modeled after that of the rental housing <br />�� task force. Councilmember Ihlan addressed time constraints for the <br />�� study; and noted the strong opinions across the community regarding <br />�� this issue. <br />
