City Council Regular Meeting — O1/08/07 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 2 <br />Councilmembers Roe; Kough; Pust; Ihlan and Mayor Klausing. <br />Approve Agenda Approve Agenda <br />Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on <br />tonight's Agenda. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that Consent Item 3.h entitled, "Designate <br />2007 Acting Mayor," should be removed for discussion. <br />Councilmember Kough requested that Consent Item 3.1 entitled, <br />"Approve Mayor's Appointment of Dean Maschka to the Housing <br />and Redevelopment Authority (I-IR�.)," be removed for <br />discussion. Councilmember Kough also noted that he had several <br />questions on Consent Item 3.a entitled, "Approve Chec�{ <br />Register." <br />Councilmember Kough questioned the status of an Audit <br />Committee appointed from Councilmembers to meet with staff <br />and the City's external auditors; and questioned whether it was in <br />place yet. <br />Mayor Klausing and Interim City Manager Miller concurred that, <br />while discussion had been held and information provided on the <br />role of such a committee, neither recalled formal action of the <br />City Council to appoint such a committee. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that the suggestion of Councilmember <br />Kough was prudent; and directed staff to redistribute the staff <br />report previously prepared and discussed, for further discussion at <br />the upcoming City Council Study Session. <br />1, Receive Public Comment about City Issues Receive Public <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the Comment about <br />audience on any City Issues.
