Accept the Proposal from CivicPlus to Redesign the City's Website <br />�;� (former Consent Agenda Item 5.g} <br />i� At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Ma�inen briefly reviewed <br />1 �� this request. <br />]� <br />1� Councilmember Roe sought additional information related to a preview of <br />1� what may be seen regarding changes to the current or a newly-designed City <br />1� websi�e, and a brief summary of the firm and how they proposed to meet the <br />�� City's requirements. <br />�1 <br />�.� Finance Director Chris Miller noted that the qualified vendor, CzvXCPlus, a <br />�3 design firm out of Manhattan, Kansas, met or exceeded qualifications of <br />�� other firms and provided the greatest value to the City based on their scope <br />�� of services set forth in the Request for Proposals (RFP). Mr. Miller noted <br />�� that RFP's ranged from $18,000 -$113,000, with the maj ority in the range <br />�7 of $18,000 -$3 5,000; with product offerings and redesign approaches vary- <br />�� ing among bidders. <br />�9 <br />�� Mr. Miller noted the request for an additional $5,000 to provide flexibility <br />� 1 for the design and any contingencies above the original $20,000 authorized; <br />�� and would allow for on-site visits with numerous staff to clearly identify <br />;�3 content and functionality needs and the ongoing input and testing of the re- <br />�4 designprocess, as well as on-site training for staff once the redesign is fin- <br />� � ished. <br />3� <br />�� Mr. Miller provided a sample website template from the City of Burnsvil�e, <br />�� highlighting presentations being sought for pages; common banners; search <br />3� box availability on all web pages, not just the home page; other amenities to <br />
