Staff has also completed <br />I R plans and specifications for the City of Roseville's 2007 Capital Improvement Program, which <br />I� includes mill and overlay in several neighborhoods throughout the City. <br />2U <br />�.! There is an opportunityfor savings during construction by bidding the project jointly with Arden <br />� Hills. By bidding these projects together as one contract, we anticipate competitive bids, as larger <br />�3 contracts and early advertisements tend to create more interest from contractors. <br />�� <br />�{ It is necessary to have an agreement detailing the terms and responsibilities of this cooperative <br />2� project. The City of Roseville has proposed to take the lead on this project for engineering <br />�� services, including contract administration and constructionmanagement. This agreement will <br />�8 divide the costs for the project accordingly between the two cities and allow for Roseville to be <br />��� reimbursed for engineering expenses by Arden Hills. See the attached proposed agreement <br />:�� (Attachment A). <br />3.L <br />3� Financial Implications: Each City will pay for their own portion of the project construction <br />3 3 within their City boundaries. Roseville will perform the engineering services and will be <br />.�� reimbursed for the Arden Hills share. <br />�� <br />�� Policy Objectives: The attached agreement delineates project and payment responsibilities <br />3� related to the project.
