The <br />amount requested from the state was $960,000. A reduction was necessary and <br />in the end, the projects identified were the south building �ntryway <br />additionlimprovements and additionlrenovation to bathroom facilities near the <br />banquet area. <br />At the September 25, 2006 City Council meeting, staff was authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with Busch Architects, Inc. for professional <br />architecturallengineering services and to advertise for bids for the projects. <br />Public and user group input was extensive. Two public input meetings with the <br />Skating Center Advisory Committee and a meeting of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission were held to formulatethe concept plans. The following themes and <br />goals were discussed prior to the formulation of the plans and have remained the <br />goals throughout the planning process: <br />• To improve facility circulation <br />• To improve safety <br />� To improve overall functional use of the facility <br />Public notice was published on February �3�h, 2007. A pre-bid meeting was held <br />on Tuesday February 21, 2007 at 10:0(� a.m. at the Roseville Skating Center <br />where a site inspection was conducted. <br />On March 6, 2007 at 2:b0 PM eleven bids were received and read aloud. <br />Attached is a bid result summary with a description of each listed below. All <br />contractors have supplied the necessary bond and are qualified to provide the <br />necessary work. <br />Bid tabulation description is below; bid tabulation summary sheet is attached: <br />Base Bid: Lump sum for all labor, materials, equipment, and services <br />necessary for and incidental to the construction of the <br />Roseville Skating Center south entryway addition and <br />remodeling project. <br />
