Mr. Stark advised that he was considering a facilitator, <br />at a cost under $5,000, to serve as a moderator during the informational <br />meetings and Public Hearings. <br />Councilmember Pust encouraged staff to provide someone else to take de- <br />tailed minutes to capture public comments and to free staff to participate in <br />the meeting discussion. <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined that a moderator be neutral to make sure as <br />wide of a range of views as possible was heard. <br />Mr. Stark advised that he was currently in discussion with someone from the <br />Hamline Center for Mediation. <br />Councilmember Roe encouraged staff to be creative in providing as many <br />opportunities for public comment and involvement as possible. <br />I�. Set a Special Meeting for the Imagine Roseville 2025 Visioning Steering <br />Committee Report <br />Mayor Klausing advised that, after further consideration of the March 5, <br />2007 possible meeting date, it was determin�d that this would not provide <br />adequate notice and preparation time. <br />�� <br />'� � After Council review of their schedules, it was Council consensus that <br />�� Thursday, March 29, 2007 would be available for meeting; at a time to be <br />�� determined as staff polls Councilmembers to determine if an earlier start <br />�� time would work for their schedules, (i.e., 6:00 p.m., rather than 7:0(} p.m.) <br />� 1 with a proposed maximum meeting time of two hours. <br />�� <br />�� <br />�� <br />�5 <br />;�� <br />�f <br />�� <br />13_ Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br />13.a Request of Mayor HIausing: Reconsider Scheduling a Fourth <br />Council Meeting each month <br />Mayor Klausing advised that he would prepare a memo and have fur- <br />ther discussion with City Manager Malinen regarding other ap- <br />proaches that were available rather than increasing meeting frequency. <br />
