ARTICLE XXIII INJURY ON DUTY <br />23.1 Beginning on the seventh day of absence due to injury �r duty (applicable only to those <br />injuries covered by Workmen's Compensation Laws), the EMPLOYER will pay to the <br />employee the net difference between the Warlcmer�'s Compensation payment helsY�e <br />receives and hisll�er normal salary. That payment will continue through the 60�' day. <br />ARTICLE XXIV SEVERANCE PAY <br />241 The EMPLOYER shall provide to those members of the bargaining unit who are <br />honorably terminated, severance pay in an amount which equals fifty percent (50%) of <br />the accumulated sick leave that tl�e employee would be entitled to receive if he/she <br />continued h�s/l�er employment, but in no event shall such severance pay exceed the <br />equivalent of forty (40) working days' pay at the employee's wage rate at the time of <br />his/her termination. <br />For the purposes of this provision: "Honorable termination" shall apply only to those: <br />a. Employees who meet the eligibility requirements for receipt of a pension pursuant <br />to the Public Employee Retirement Association Statute, Minn. Stat. Chapter 353, <br />with ten (10) or more years of service with the City, who terminate their <br />employment because of retirement. <br />b. Regular employees with ten (10) or more years of service with the EMPLOYER <br />who te1•�r�i��ate their employment because of reduction of the EMPLOYER'S staff, <br />or because of changes in the EMPLOYER'S operation. <br />Regular employees with ten (10) or more years of service with the EMPLOYER <br />who die before they terminate their employment shall have their severance pay <br />entitlements paid to their estate if they fail to name a living beneficiary. <br />ARTICLE XXV VACATION <br />251 The EMPLOYER grants paid vacation to the members of the bargaining unit according <br />to the following schedule: <br />Minimum Working <br />Time Rec�uired <br />Davs Vacation <br />1 Year ................ ........................... 10 Days <br />5 Years ... . . . . .. . . . ... . . . . ..... . .. . .. ... . ..... . . .. 15 Days <br />15 Years ... . . . . ... .. . . . .. . . . ... . . . . . . . . . . . . ...... 20 Days <br />7� <br />
