In particular, the AM and PM pealc hour trafiic volumes, the length of vehicle stacldng in <br />the drive-thru lane and the duration of drive-thru service were investigated. It is noted that this existing <br />drive-thru Starbucics is a retroiit and the parcel wasn't initially designed to accommodate a drive-thru <br />lane. <br />Data Collection <br />Manual entering and exiting vehicle counts for patrons visiting the existing drive-thru Starbucics were <br />conducted by RLK Incorporated froz� 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 06, 2007 and from 7:00 - 9:00 <br />AM on Wednesday, March 07, 2007. In addition, the length of vehicle stacldng and duration of drive- <br />thru service were documented at iive �ninute intervals during the study times. <br />Traffic Volumes <br />Review of the data indicates that the pealc hour volumes generally occur during the following tim� <br />periods: <br />➢ Weekday AM Pealc Hour: 7:00 to 5:00 AM <br />➢ Weelcday PM Pealc Hour: 4:00 to 5;00 PM <br />Table 1 on the following page details the results of the AM and PM pealc hour vehicle counts while Table <br />2 details the trip generation data for a drive-thru coffee shop used in the 7an�ary 03, 2007 Franlcs <br />Offices: C�u6uth * Ham La� .
