1 As part of the 2007 budgeting for the CD Department's part-time Senior Office Assistant
 position, it was anticipated that the HRA would € approximately 8 hours per week of
a this position's time. There is no further action required, therefore, on the part of the City
 Council or HRA in order for the Senior Office Assistant to fulfill this role.
' Next Steps
, If the City Council is generally amenable to the HRA's staffing recommendations and the
, requisite organizational changes to the Community Development Department, the next
 steps would be:
 1) To determine what modifications would be required to the job descriptions of the
E? City Planner and Associate City Planner and determine if these changes would
 [ necessitate any salary adjustments;
 2) To seek City Council approval of any required changes to the j ob descriptions for,
9 and compensation of, existing Community Development sta',
• 3) To seek City Council approval of the creation of a part-time Housing Program
] Coordinator position (to be funded wholly by the HRA);
] 6 4) To seek formal HRA approval designatingthe CD Director as its Executive
] Director and a formal agreement for the HRA to compensate the City for the
] utilization of certain members of its staff.
HRA Staffing Council Memo Page 3 of 3
