BACKGROUND <br />1� The conventional refrigeration system replacementthat was planned for 2007 at <br />�� the Roseville Ice Arena has been delayed until 2008 in order to further study the <br />I.5 feasibility of the geothermal technology. <br />lfr <br />l� At the January 22,2007 City Council meeting there was a consensus for staff to <br />18 prepare and distribute a request for proposal (RFP) to potential consulting firms <br />1� to study and verify the feasibility of a geothermal technology at the Roseville <br />�� Skating Center. The RFP is attached and has been sent to several known <br />�1 qualified firms to potentially conduct the feasibility study. <br />�� <br />�� The proposals are due on April 1�°i� 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at which time they will be <br />�� analyzed. It is anticipated that during the week of April 16`�', interviews will be <br />�� conducted with one or two firms. On April 16" it is also anticipated that staff will <br />�� bring you up to date with the latest information. <br />�, <br />�. <br />�8 On April ��'a, 2007 it is anticipated that staff will bring to the City Council a <br />�.�r proposal to select a firm to enter into an agreement with to conduct the feasibility <br />�� study. The study will expect to rule in or out the practical application of the <br />� I geothermal conversionlretrofit in the Roseville Ice Arena. <br />�� <br />3� <br />
