Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) Staffing — Discussion
of IRA Staffing and Direction for the Future
Community Development Director John Stark summarized the staff
report dated April 16, 2007 regarding staffing of the Housing and Re-
development Authority (HRA) and utilization and/or impacts to the
Community Development staff. Mr. Stark noted that the HRA, at
their March 30, 2007 meeting, chose an alternative staffing proposal
to: name the Community Development Director as its Executive Di-
rector; seek creation of a part-time (20 hourslweek) Housing Coordi-
nator position; and utilize a portion (8 hourslweek) of the Community
Development Senior Office Assistant's time. Mr. Stark reviewed the
T's purpose of the proposed changes to maintain better integration
between City and HRA activities by having common staff; and to
more efficiently operate the RA by having more staff hours dedi-
cated to its staffing within their existing budget.
