Ms. Bloom further reviewed proposed pathway improvements under Highway 35-W where a gap existed, bringing the pathway up and over similar to a previous treatment elsewhere in the City. Further review of proposed plantings was discussed, with the Council seeking to utilize hardy, salt and drought-resistant plantings to avoid excess maintenance andlor water use in keeping environmentally re- sponsible; use of trees and ground cover to retain water, with shrubs used along wetland areas; their lack of interest in sod portions due to maintenance and irrigation requirements; use of perennials rather than annuals; and to provide extensive varieties with the intent to make the areas more pedestrian and aesthetically pleasing. Due to a lack of time, by Council consensus, the following items were tabled, or deferred to a future Council Agenda. i.
