Single-Family Residential Lot Split Study
Fit/Context of Neighborhood
■ I hope they don't think they can split the lot next door. There is not the room.
Other
■ Absolutely not!
4. Have you noticed any negative neighborhood impacts since the subdivision of this lot?
35% Yes 56% No
If ,res, what?
Aesthetics
■ My view in back isn't as nice.
■ All the ducks and wild life no longer hang out; my once private backyard now vistas a humongous house and barking
dogs. The house built was not the one proposed. Neighbors believe it is an eye-sore.
■ It ruined our view, less privacy, wetland was filled in and habitat for animals damaged. I think it is a fire risk. I think
approving this kind of building is iresponsible! There were a lot of trees destroyed.
■ As much as I think it was okay for them to do it, the house is kind of a monstrosity and wrecked our view.
Habitat/Open Space/Trees
■ Loss of privacy - trees taken down - I guess that's called progress?
■ All the ducks and wild life no longer hang out; my once private backyard now vistas a humongous house and barking
dogs. If you were in the market to buy a house today, would you buy one in your neighborhood?
88% Yes 12% No
Whv?
Families/Schools
■ Same reasons we bought here in the fist place - love Roseville, wanted a quiet street with "no lines" (if there is paint
on the street, it's too busy for kids to play), mature trees, good-sized yard.
Location
■ It's a good neighborhood, good schools, close to markets and public transportation. Close to lakes and parks and
walking and biking trails
■ I love this house and property. I love living in Roseville. I already have a buyer if I do ever move. It is close to
everything and seems a safe place to live. It is really a great neighborhood to live in.
■ Quiet except for 311 E. Burke Ave., every MINN sports evening is a party. Police know them well eh?
■ Great place to live.
■ Large lots, close to cities.
Property Rights
■ Good neighbors, lots of room, good services and schools. We have been watching this moratorium very closely.
Please keep individual rights foremost!
Property Values
■ Roseville appears to not protect its property values, and not enforce zoning ordinances. Property taYes are outrageous.
This hurt my property value.
Other
■ It's a nice neighborhood.
■ This is a safe, friendly neighborhood.
■ I like the neighborhood. Nice and quiet.
■ Don't know. There is a lot we do like about this neighborhood.
■ Because the houses are older now and need work. We are an older couple and we are thinking of downsizing to a
townhouse or moving to a warmer climate (wishful thinking!)
2 of 3
