Single-Family Residential Lot Split Study
Survey Results
2291 County Road 8
Number of Survey Sent: 40
Number of Surveys Received: 10
Response Rate: 25%
1. Did you live at your existing home when the single-family residential lot(s) at 2291 County Road B
was (were) subdivided?
90% Yes 10% No (Did not need to complete the remainder of the survey.)
2. Were you initially supportive, in opposition to, or indifferent to the subdivision of this lot?
44% Supportive 33% Opposed 22% Indifferent
Whv?
Fit/Context of Neighborhood
■ Good use of land.
■ The placement of the new home (facing S. to Cty B but addresses as Fulham) is odd and poorly thought out for the
sake of neighborhood dynamic and feel.
■ The lot had adequate size to subdivide.
■ The large lots make this a green and attractive neighborhood.
Habitat/Open Space/Trees
■ Why demolish an acceptable home? Incredible waste. Plus, the loss of 25+ (?) trees was also incredibly wasteful.
Property Rights
■ Because it is legal to do it. Respect people's property rights.
■ Somewhat opposed (resistant to change). Somewhat indifferent (it is their land).
Property Value
■ It devalues the community. It makes the lots look like inner-city lots.
Other
■ No one contacted us on this split.
3. Have you noticed any nositive neighborhood impacts since the subdivision of this lot?
77% Yes 11% No
If ,res, what?
Aesthetics
■ Nice looking homes have improved look of neighborhood and values.
■ New house on County B is much more attractive than old one.
■ Housing stock has improved!
■ They have built two nice new homes.
Property Value
■ Only from one source did I hear any positive feedback - supposedly my property increased in value. I'll let you know
in 20+ years! This was from a realtor passing by.
■ Nice looking homes have improved look of neighborhood and values.
■ Older house upgraded to newer high-value home.
Other
■ Indifferent.
1of2
