Mr. Quaid opined ihat this woulc[ allow them �o keep an eye an the proj�c� and <br />keep vandaiism down. Mrs. DeLeo <br />ac�vised ihat she ancf her husband IiKed the neighbari�ood artd had chosen ta stay there, going <br />through �he expensi�e redevelopment and constr►�ction, due to their desire to stay in the area. <br />Chair BaKeman clnsed the Pubiic Hearing. <br />Cor�missioner poherty spoke in suppart of the application, noting his initial skep�icism with Mr. <br />Al�xander's previous appfication; however, observed ti�at it s�erned to work out very weli. <br />Comtnissioner �oherty noted th� h�rdship for exisiing residenis in having to pay hotel reni during <br />canstruction of a new hom�. Commissioner �oher�y eor€�plimented the Re�.ea's an the [ooks of <br />#he n�w garage, and opirted that if the home looked as good as the garage, it would be a credit to <br />ihe neighborhood. <br />Commissioner Gasonga spok� in support of the application; expressing eoncern with severe <br />weaiher si�uatians, and sought r�:assurances ihat th� project would remain an or attead of <br />schedule. <br />Commissioner Qoherky concurred fhat a conditian be ihat, if the new home was not eorrtpleted by <br />Oetober, that the appEicant mnve elsewhere, excluding tt�e garage. <br />
