Ms. McGehee cited speci�c exam- <br />ples o� how Iarge �ots protect�d environmen�a� and noise issues in a <br />neighborhood (i.e., G�uek Lane and Acorn Road}. Ms. McGehee <br />cited zoning areas in other cxties, apining that staf�' could make �ot <br />computations as suggest�d in the a�ternate reeomm�ndations, wi�hout <br />th�m becoming onerous, ar�d further opined thai t�is wauld be a rca� <br />sonable approach, al�owing fior grow�h and change, while fiiting the <br />roles of specific neighborhoods and maintaining their character. <br />Ms. McGehee fi�rther opined tha� th� CAG hadn'� suFficient�y studied <br />oz prov�ded commeni on lot �ecombination to �nsure tha� the public <br />had a clear �tders�andir�g o�' �hem, in addition tp understanding <br />Planned Unit Deve�opmen�s (PUD's) and related issues. Ms. 1V�cGe- <br />hee opined that 90 days was not su�'fieient study time �'or the many is- <br />�ues and considerations, along with overarching issues and other lot <br />considexations; thus creating the need for the a��ernate recommenda- <br />tions and the signatures o� �he b9 people who felt s�rong�y enough tQ <br />present a s�cond poin� of view to the C�ty Council, and was not pre- <br />sented as a petition, hut the signatures were mean.t to Iend weight to <br />the alterna�ive recom.mendations. <br />35 Marilyn Rose, 2�.OU Fernwood St�ee� <br />36 Ms. Rose expressed hope �hat when another �tu.dy group was formu- <br />37 lated, moxe peopl� wou�d volun�eer to serve.
