Mr. <br />Callaghan opined his concern about adding any additional lanes on <br />Lyd�a and poten�ial impacts to ihe residential area, inc�uding access <br />poin�s, and Iights shining in�o res�dences along Lydia. Mr. Callaghan <br />further opined that �he int�rsec�ion ai Lydia and �nelling was already <br />dangerous, and that etl� City Engineer needed �o provide a woxkable <br />plan for pub�ic information. <br />Mr. Callagh�n no�ed iha� the Metropolitan Council had noted designa- <br />tion of f ve sma�l water bodies on �he campus, and whether those na� <br />tive areas we�e available for wa�er retention purposes; and opined that <br />this question had not been adequately answered. Mr. Callaghan noted <br />�hat wat�� qual�ty study data was av�ilab�e ovex the Iasi six years for <br />Lake Johanna, but he had not seen evidence that the stud� data had <br />been accessed andloar made part of the review and comments. <br />20 �VIr. Beilby acknowledged that <br />33 there was one in approximately � 992 during construction o£ th� li- <br />34 brary and chang�s to the roadway; but that he had observed that the <br />35 college had taken immediate action to ins�all erosion barrie�rs ta al�e� <br />36 viate problcros; and that the siie had been arepaired, and that �'rom his <br />37 observations, none of th� erosion had entered the lake. Mr. Beilby <br />38 opined that the�e wexe areas where natura� suceess�on had oecu�ed; <br />39 but iurther opin�d that the exten� o�'erasion was overstated. <br />
