Purple loostrife, milfoil, and buckthorn. ■ Implemented organic fertilizer program. ■ Have numerous educational pieces at the Nature Center and Muriel Sahlin Arboretum, ie. Prairie restoration, wildflower area, etc. ■ Adopted a Natural Resource Management Plan. ■ Conducted several volunteer buckthorn removal projects • Completed restoration project at C.P. Bennett Lake, Valley Park & Reservoir Woods Maintain the cooperative efforts between the City of Roseville and the FORPARKS, Central Park Foundation, FORHANC (Friends of the Harriet Alexander Nature Center and the FOF (Friends of the OVAL Foundation). ■ Currently have an excellent relationship with the FORPARKS (formally the Auxiliary), FORHANC, FOF and the Central Park Foundation. They have been extremely supportive both financially and emotionally of the Roseville Parks and Recreation System! Consider creative additional uses for park space such as berry patches, cross-country skiing, a canoe path at Ladyslipper Park, and sledding hills. • Created x-Country Skiing at Reservoir Woods. ■ Arboretum development ■ Adopted master plan for Ladyslipper Park Promote and ensure environmentally sound practices throughout our park system. ■ Use of environmentally friendly fertilizers, i.e. Organic. Facilities - To provide facilities necessary to meet the needs and expectations of the entire community. These facilities will provide leisure opportunities for athletics, cultural and social activities. o Construct a Roseville Community Center which could provide areas for seniors, gymnastics, court games, fitness, water play, meeting space, cultural arts, and social gatherings. Partially completed with the following: ■ Constructed the banquet facilities at the Roseville Skating Center that assists in serving these functions.
