. On August 8,2005 a letter was sent by Council Member Maschka to <br />Representative Dan Darman, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee <br />requesting a site visit. (Attached is a copy of the letter). <br />• On December 30,2005 a meeting with Mayor Klausing, Staff and <br />Representative Mindy Greiling took place to discuss the proposal and the <br />process. <br />• On January 10, 2006 a site visit was conducted for the Senate Capital <br />Inw�stment Committee. Mayor Klausing, Council Member Maschka, Parks <br />and Recreation Commission Chair Jacobson and Staff were present. <br />. On January 10, 2006 a letter was sent by Mayor Klausing to the Governor <br />encouraging support (see attached letter). <br />. On January 15,2006 the Governor announced his capital bonding <br />recommendations of which the OVAL was not included as a <br />recommended project (see attached narrative). However we have been <br />informed by the Governor's office that due to the high number of these <br />types of amenity requests, consideration has been referred to a later date. <br />• On January 19,2006 a second tour is scheduled with Representative <br />Mindy Greiling and other Representatives from the State of Minnesota. <br />On January 20, 2005 a meeting is scheduled at the State Capitol with <br />Senator John Marty and Representative Bev Scalze to discuss the <br />proposal. <br />Staff will be prepared to review the progress with you and accept any further <br />guidance at your City Council meeting on January 23,2006. <br />
